For Producers & PROs
Under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, producers and brand owners must ensure collection and channelization of end-of-life electronics through authorized recyclers. NEPL provides the processing capacity, environmental controls, and compliance documentation to support your EPR targets.
Discuss PartnershipThe Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 places the following obligations on producers and brand owners:
Producers must meet prescribed annual collection targets for end-of-life electronics, calculated as a percentage of products placed on the market.
Collected e-waste must be channelized to authorized dismantlers or recyclers for environmentally sound processing — not to informal or unauthorized processors.
Producers must maintain records of collection and channelization, and file annual returns with the CPCB demonstrating compliance with EPR targets.
Producers may engage Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) to manage EPR obligations on their behalf — including collection logistics and recycler channelization.
