NEPL accepts all 106 categories of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) as defined under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. This includes IT equipment (laptops, desktops, servers, monitors, printers), consumer electronics (TVs, audio systems), household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, ACs), lighting equipment, electrical tools, medical devices, and monitoring instruments. NEPL's facility is designed for a processing capacity of 6,600 MT per annum (approximately 20 tonnes per day). The facility includes mechanical separation, smelting, and hydrometallurgical recovery systems.
NEPL operates in alignment with CPCB guidelines and MPCB requirements. The facility is designed and operated under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.

Yes, NEPL can arrange collection from your premises for bulk consignments. Contact us to discuss logistics, scheduling, and volume requirements. E-waste can also be delivered directly to our facility at F-36, Murbad MIDC Industrial Area.

Hazardous fractions — including batteries, mercury-containing lamps, CRT glass, toner cartridges, capacitors, and refrigerant oils — are segregated during processing and channelized to authorized Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF) in compliance with the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
For every consignment processed, NEPL provides: receipt records (weight, category, source), processing logs, recovery records (materials recovered), dispatch records (downstream channelization), hazardous waste manifests, and compliance certificates. These documents are verifiable and suitable for regulatory filings.
Yes. NEPL operates as an authorized recycler under the EPR framework. Producers and brand owners can channelize e-waste to NEPL and receive compliance certificates and processing documentation for their EPR filings. See our EPR for Producers page for details.
Yes. NEPL's facility includes data wiping machines for secure data sanitization of storage devices (hard drives, SSDs, tapes) before physical destruction. Data destruction certificates can be provided upon request.
